Teachers who encounter the TELL Framework will do so from widely varying backgrounds and experiences. The TELL collaborators are quick to acknowledge that, for some, the sheer number of criteria can make the framework feel cumbersome and overwhelming. It is with this in mind that the Foundational Criteria document was created. From among the many important criteria in the framework, these are considered to be the most critical and, therefore, a good place to begin. A self-assessment document has also been developed to help teachers to focus on these critical items as they set their goals and plan for their own growth.
